CT Supervisor - Waukesha - Full-Time

ProHealth Care Medical Imaging services are provided at numerous locations throughout Waukesha County including Waukesha Memorial, Oconomowoc Memorial and many of our ProHealth Medical Group Clinic locations.  Services include  General  X-Ray, CT and MRI scanning, Functional MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound  in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  ProHealth Care partners with some of the most highly trained and skilled radiologists in the country, many of whom focus on advanced subspecialties ensuring the highest quality imaging services for our patients.


The Radiology/Imaging areas use the most sophisticated equipment available including the Discovery PET/CT 690 system. This scanner features advanced technology that can transform the way cancer, neurological disorders and heart disease are diagnosed and treated.  Open and closed MRI, 3D Mammography and Functional MRI are among the many options offered.  Waukesha Memorial Hospital is one of fewer than 1 percent of community-based medical centers in the United States offering the innovative diagnostic technology of Functional MRI.   In addition to the innovative technology, one of our greatest assets is our caring and compassionate technologists who ensure we meet the highest quality care standards every day.

 

Hours: This position will be exempt. The hours will vary based on the needs of that day. This person will oversee staff members that may work any shift, including nights and weekends, and the support needed will vary on a daily basis. There is a requirement for the person to learn CT and be able to staff in the department as is needed. This can be within the first year -must obtain CT certification within the first 2 years.

What You Will Do:

The Supervisor operates at the department level. Reports to a Manager or Director and is responsible for day-to-day operations of multiple departments or modalities across PHC campuses. Will have support from Technical Specialists or Coordinators.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides input to Manager or Director for capital, operating and staffing budgets.    Provide fiscal oversight of allocated resources, assets and expenses.  Makes recommendations to adjust for variations in projected budget income caused by fluctuating volumes and other external forces.
  • With input and support from the Manager or Director, responsible for effective hiring, orientation, training, mentoring and coaching of staff, to ensure a well-trained, high performing team.  Provide ongoing recognition, feedback and development, holding staff accountable for meeting expected goals and behaviors.  Ensure appropriate resources are provided to staff.  Provide input for a staffing plan that meets both customer expectations and financial constraints.  Create a culture of service excellence, cooperative teamwork, and continual improvement.  Assure an environment where Employee Engagement feedback facilitates positive change.
  • Provides leadership to direct reports in the execution of work plans and short term goals.  Implements department level changes to supporting processes and systems.  Supports the implementation of solutions to department level challenges.  Implements and completes department goals.
  • Responsible for the department staff schedule in accordance with budget allocation, and utilizes resources efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs. 
  • Assigns and distributes work among department employees based on their skills, training and experience.  Ensures quality and productivity standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Completes daily and bi-weekly payroll procedures and timecard approval process.
  • Responsible for effective and timely staff communications to ensure all are apprised of information and changes in a timely manner.  Plans, prepares and conducts regular staff meetings and participates in huddles and other communication strategies.  Maintains open communication with staff, peers and other departments to assure cooperation and collaboration.
  • Handles staff performance-related issues in collaboration and accordance with Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Completes and conducts performance evaluations and competencies for staff.

 

Requirements:

  • Board certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists ( ARRT) in Radiology and CT and remains current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiological Technology.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required
  • Valid WI driver's license and in good standing
