Schedule Details: M-F- First Shift On call as required. Position will be fully remote.

What You Will Do:

Sr. Systems Engineer will support the day-to-day operations of our cloud and server environment consisting of servers and enterprise software within datacenter, cloud deployments and remote locations. The Sr. Systems Engineer troubleshoots a wide array of complex system issues to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data while meeting industry best practices. The Sr. System Engineer also accepts ownership for various projects and implements initiative and assists in the design and planning of cloud and infrastructure projects, while providing tier three support for other engineers and support team members.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain on prem and cloud technology stack including IaaS as well as PaaS and SaaS solutions to some degree.
  • Coordinate technical reviews with vendors and engineering staff in performing system modeling, capacity planning, system performance, manageability, and scalability
  • Responsible for ensuring cloud and on-prem security, monitoring, and disaster recovery design.
  • Conduct performance tuning, problem resolution, security administration, capacity planning, policy administration, change management, disaster recovery, and system analysis of cloud and on-prem systems and services.
  • Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements.
  • Administer and Manage Infrastructure Virtualization Platforms (VMware)
  • Translate business requirements into code and documentation while managing the life cycle and communication for assigned projects.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage projects; prioritize tasks to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
  • Mentor and train Support and Engineering Staff

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology
  • Citrix and NetScaler experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing Application/Infrastructure Virtualization platforms (Citrix, VMware)
  • Knowledge of or certification in AWS, GCP or Azure preferred
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages: PowerShell  *CA
