ProHealth Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated RN to support our Neurology and Multiple Sclerosis program in our Neuroscience Department. Based at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, you will provide expert outpatient care while working in collaboration with a talented team of specialists.

About the Neuroscience Department:

Our Neuroscience Department operates at two locations—Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the Outpatient Physician Center in Oconomowoc—with a combined 400 to 500 outpatient visits per month. The department offers specialized services in medical pain management, stroke follow-up, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) care, and concussion/brain injury treatment.

 

The team includes:

  • 2 physiatrists

  • 2 psychologists

  • 2 advanced practice nurse prescribers

  • 5 registered nurses

  • 4 clerical staff

 

Additionally, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and other medical specialists contribute to patient care

 

Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • No weekends, holidays, or nights required.

  • This is a part-time position eligible for benefits.

  • Location: Primarily at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, with occasional support at the Outpatient Physician Center in Oconomowoc as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients managing neurological conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis and post-stroke care.

  • Work collaboratively with a team of neurology specialists to coordinate follow-up care and patient education.

Requirements:

  • RN License: Must hold a valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse license.

  • BLS Certification: Active AHA BLS certification required.

  • Experience: Prior experience in neurology or neuroscience is preferred, but we welcome strong candidates eager to learn and grow in this specialty.

What You Will Do:

The Clinical Nurse is a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families.  Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approach and practice is guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations.  These nurses demonstrate a mastery of most technical skills and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/ campuses as required by staffing matrices.  These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised. 

 

What You Will Need:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
  • Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS) certification.
