We Are Hiring: Registered Nurse (RN) - Waukesha ICU - 0.9 FTE - 12hr - Nights 

 

Waukesha Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit is a 24 bed, multi-specialty unit including cardiovascular, neuro-surgical, medical respiratory, sepsis, drug overdoses, suicide attempts, a variety of other surgical, and trauma. This team works with adult and some pediatric patients.

 

The ICU intensive care unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital has earned a silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). The award recognizes unit caregivers for successfully improving patient outcomes and aligning unit practices with AACN standards. Units that receive this three-year award meet national criteria consistent with other national quality awards, such as the National Quality Healthcare Award. Waukesha Memorial is one of only two hospitals in Wisconsin to earn the silver-level Beacon award. (2013).

 

Schedule Details: 0.9 position and is a 12 hour night shift (0700-1900) role with every third weekend requirement.

 

Pay: From $30.00/hour base rate (Increases with experience), $2/hour Critical Care Differential, $2.80/hour night differential, $1.50/hour weekend differential

 

Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2 year commitment!

What You Will Do:

 

A Registered Nurse in the ICU will provide extraordinary quality care to those that experience, or are at risk for development of life threatening illness.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Registered Nurse in the Statue of Wisconsin
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification  or ability to obtain upon hire
  • NIHSS Certification
  • CCRN desired, but not required.
