Schedule Details: Monday - Friday coverage with flexibility in shift length (8, 9, or 10 ) hours-start times range from 0730-0830. Primary work location is Waukesha Memorial Hospital but will rotate to Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and the Pewaukee Cancer Center as needed. On call requirements for coverage at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and Mukwonago Hospital 1-2 week nights per month and every 6-8 weekends.

What You Will Do:

The Radiology Nurse is responsible for supporting the nursing needs of the Radiology Department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs appropriate nursing support for Radiology studies
  • Performs necessary patient clinical assessments
  • Intravenous line insertion and maintenance
  • Port and IV line access and de-access
  • Administration of IV fluids and medications as prescribed
  • Works collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to facilitate, coordinate, and ensure appropriate patient care
  • Functions as a Radiology information resource to students, health care professionals, patients, and the public
  • Collects and reports data from patients regarding potential barriers, existing health conditions, current medications and prior treatments

 

What You Will Need

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association, or the ability to obtain upon hire
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a clinical nurse
