Schedule Details: First shift, days with varying start times from 6:30-8:00am working 8 or 10 hours shifts. Call is 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd or 4th weekend. Position will train between Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial but will also potentially cover at Mukwonago. 


What You Will Do:

The Cath Lab Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.  They must ensure open and effective communication with patients, family/caregivers and all health care team members involved in the pre/intra/post-care of cardiac catheterization patients. 


  • Provide pre/intra/post procedural nursing care (assessment, monitoring, intervention, and education) related to diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.  These procedures include, but are not limited to, angioplasty, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, Swan/Ganz/right heart catheterization, structural heart and pericardiocentesis. 
  • Transporting patients to/from Cath Lab holding and/or inpatient unit. 
  • Administration of intravenous and oral medications to patients. 
  • Management of patients receiving procedural medications.
  • Proficient in the use of the Witt Hemodynamic Monitoring System.
  • Actively monitors patients during adult catheterization procedures. 
  • Participates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR as needed. 
  • Operation Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella and IVUS
  • Knowledge of diagnostic/interventional supplies
  • Proficient in removal of vascular sheathH  *CA

What You Will Need:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • State of WI RN license
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)   #LI-KH  *CA
