ProHealth Moreland Surgery Center is an AAAHC accredited multi-specialty facility that operates weekdays with no call or holidays. The primary specialties served are General and Vascular, Urology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Plastic Surgery. Other specialties served include Oral Maxillofacial, Gynecology, Podiatry, and Pain Management Surgery. MSC has seven multi-purpose operating rooms, with over 75 practicing physicians and 50+ team members. The surgery center is consistently ranked in the top quartile nationally for patient satisfaction and performs approximately 5000 cases annually . We provide a fast-paced yet efficient work environment that ranks in the top 10% nationally for patient wait times.

Answers incoming clinic calls and prepares patient charts for procedures and storage. Checks patients in upon arrival, updating demographic and insurance information as necessary. Acts as a resource person for all clinic staff. Provides direct administrative assistance to the management team. Assists with facilitating communication between patients, family, staff, and management within the organization and shares responsibility for opening/closing duties for the clinic.

 

  • Acts as a resource person in providing communication and information to patients, family, staff, and physicians
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill with use of office based equipment, i.e. copier, scanner, phone systems
  • Follows all HIPPA policies & procedures
  • Understands and uses all functions of the phone system
  • Answers phones promptly and pleasantly with appropriate telephone etiquette
  • Appropriately prioritizes calls
  • Takes accurate, complete messages
  • Provides administrative assistant support to the management team
  • Compiles monthly reports for review by the management team as directed
  • Prepares, files, stores, and scans documents for patient medical records
  • Maintains the inventory of office supplies for the center
  • Makes arrangements for patients with special needs: arrange for translator
  • Provides a warm and welcoming environment for all patients, family, and visitors to the facility
  • Notifies nursing of any changes in daily schedule
  • Confirms demographic information upon check in and corrects any missing or incorrect information
  • Competent in proper use of e-mail
  • Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the organization
  • Dresses appropriately and wears name tag
  • Seeks consultation from supervisor and co-workers as needed
  • Quality of work is neat, accurate, precise, thorough, and mistake-free
  • Follows through and completes tasks assigned
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • Serves as a role model for customer service
  • Post charges as directed
  • Handle deliveries to front desk

 

 

EDUCATION, LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have completed high school
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience
  • Must have Medical Terminology
  • Must have EPIC experience
  • High attention to detail required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks
  • Neat, organized, accurate and the ability to work well in a team setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish to English) preferred
