Psychotherapist - Outpatient

Job Type:  PM/Day Rotation
Weekly Hours:  40

 We Are Hiring: Psychotherapist - Outpatient  

 

Schedule: Worked days of week and hours per day can be flexible. Full time is 40 hours per week with 35 hours open to scheduling clients. Multiple clinic locations available within Waukesha County.

What You Will Do:

The Outpatient Psychotherapist conducts assessments and provides outpatient therapy and implements a treatment program for chemically dependent and/or mental health patients, their families and significant others. Primary functions of this role inlcude: 

  • Provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Spends 80% of time in clinical practice (face to face contact with patients/families).
  • Spends 20% of time performing necessary business functions (paperwork, meetings) and collateral contacts (referents, community resources, insurance representatives).
  • Coordinates patient care with physicians, therapists or other providers during current episode of care or when transferring or discharging patients.
  • Completes all documentation accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Obtains supervision according to state regulations.
  • Can provide supervision for masters degree students.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with emphasis in behavioral health related field (clinical social work, counseling, etc)
  • Meets State of Wisconsin requirements for LCSW, LPC-IT, LPC, or LMFT (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
