FTE: 0.8 (Part-Time with Benefits)
Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; occasional evenings for group sessions
Primary Location: Pewaukee Campus
Secondary Locations: Oconomowoc and Mukwonago

Job Summary:
ProHealth Care is seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our Oncology Services team. This role is integral in providing psychosocial support to patients and families navigating cancer diagnoses and treatments. The Counselor will work collaboratively with the oncology care team to address emotional, social, and psychological needs, facilitating support groups and individual counseling sessions.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to oncology patients and their families.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Facilitate support groups and educational sessions.

Assist patients in accessing community resources and support services.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

Active Wisconsin licensure as an LPC or LCSW.

Experience in oncology or healthcare counseling preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What You Will Do:
The Oncology Services Counselor must posses strong assessment skills and the ability to evaluate the needs of cancer patients and provide counseling intervention to cancer patients at all stages of their diagnosis. Counseling will be provided on a one to one basis as well as in a group setting. The Counselor will participate in creating and/or facilitating support groups for patients. the position works very closely with the Oncology Social Workers to provide support groups and works collaboratively with other team members to support the patients.
You Will Need:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology or Counseling
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Preferred experience with oncology patients.
- One of the following licenses will meet the requirements of the position: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
