Schedule Details: Monday through Friday 8-430 with weekend and holiday rotation

Our highly skilled team provides a wide array of services, including medication education and management, injections and intravenous therapy, wound care, nutritional counseling, bowel and bladder management and much more. Physical, occupational and speech therapists address home safety concerns, strengthening and rehabilitation needs. Our licensed social workers offer assistance with community resources, financial assistance and supportive care and counseling to patients and families.
What You Will Do:
Implements and carries out treatments as directly by the physical therapist. Collaborates with others in the care delivery. Works under the supervision of a physical therapist.
Responsibilities:
- Applies principles of cultural competence, professional conduct and safety.
- Applies time management principles throughout each shift in order to meet the department and organization's efficiency goals.
- Applies appropriate infectious disease control principles at all times
- Carries out the physical therapy plan of care for assigned patients with attention to detail of the prescribed physical therapy intervention, duration of care, frequency of visits and goals. Uses current best practice information and sound clinical judgement.
- Collaborates with other care providers in carrying out the PT portion of the interdisciplinary care plan. Continually monitors the patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Reassess each patient's condition at each visit. Collaborates with the supervising physical therapist to modify the plan of care if appropriate based on reassessment findings.
- Collaborates with the supervising physical therapist for patient discharges.
- Documents physical therapy care and response to care provided following ProHealth Care policies and proceedures.
- Determine appropriate charges for each patient visit following ProHealth Care policies and procedures. Assures that clinical documentatin supports charges that are processes.
- Contributes to professional development of colleagues, peers and others.
- Assists in clinical instruction/supervision of students when professionally qualified.
- Accepts assignments at various locations within the department/service when necessary.
What you will need:
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Current State of WI Physical Therapist Assistant licensure.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- At least 1 year of related therapy experience preferred.
