Schedule Details: Monday through Friday. Will work onsite at PHC Corporate Office with some remote days
What You Will Do:
Under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor, performs all required payroll procedures including processing all payroll cycles, and providing customer support to employees and leaders for payroll related matters.
• Ensures accurate entry, processing and recording of company payroll on a timely basis
• Demonstrates knowledge of tax withholdings for the IRS, WDOR, FICA and Medicare
• Demonstrates advanced understanding of the Kronos timekeeping system and time clocks, or similar timekeeping system
• Demonstrates advanced understanding of Lawson Payroll Software application, or similar accounting system.
• Analyzes and researches payroll data interfaced from Kronos timekeeping system
• Responds professionally to inquiries from employees and leaders in a fast paced environment
• Has the ability to inquire and provide data on current and historical employee pay, benefits and general ledger distributions
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all payroll processes that need to be complete in order to finish a successful payroll
• Assists with year end payroll reconciling, processing and form preparation
• Strictly maintains the confidentiality of all payroll data.
• Participates in the planning and implementation of changes within PHC Payroll
• Expedites issues or areas of concern to Payroll Coordinator and/or Manager Accounting Operations & Systems in a timely fashion
• Possesses strong understanding of MS Office products and is proficient in the use of Outlook, Excel and Word
• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and successfully participate in effective teamwork to ensure accurate, timely processing of entire payroll.
• Meets critical deadlines, and communicates potential delays to leadership should they occur.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related payroll experience preferred.
