Patient Safety Coordinator - ProHealth Care - 0.7 FTE

We are seeking a Patient Safety Coordinator to support and advance our patient safety program across the organization. In this role, you will partner with clinical and operational teams to reduce risk, analyze safety events, and implement process improvements that enhance care delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Will Do:

Supports the day to day activities necessary to drive the patient safety plan for the organization. This activity will be in compliance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, goals and budget of the organization. 

Aids others within the organization towards process improvements that will support the reduction of medical/health care near misses, errors and other factors that may contribute to unintended adverse outcomes.

Supports clinical and non-clinical projects for the organization by providing research, analysis and recommendations concerning various projects related to patient safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Current State of WI or eLC compact state RN licensure.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Certification in Patient Safety (or obtained within one year of hire).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Prefer:
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification
    • Lean training
    • Knowledge of accreditation standards, health care regulations, process improvement, patient safety, risk management and policy formulation
    • Prior experience with Baldridge criteria, Magnet certification, and experience within a high reliability organization
