We Are Hiring: Operating Room Assistant - Waukesha Memorial Hospital Full Time Days
Schedule:
8 Hour shifts (0700-330 or 0800-430)
Hours will be based on department need
Call requirement:
Overnight Weeknight call typically 1 night per week
24-hour Weekend call (0700-0700) 1 weekend per 6-week schedule
Holiday call rotation 1-2 per year
In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room.
What You Will Do:
As an Operating Room Assistant, you will function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse. You will be responsible for assisting in general department cleaning, case cart preparation, running errands, and assisting with transporting of patients and room turnover.
