Please consider joining our amazing NNP team while we move forward with a state of the art new unit build. We will have 16 individual rooms with 3 capable of housing twins. We provide 24 hour NNP in house coverage in two NICUs. Our main campus and level 3 NICU is at Waukesha Memorial. Services provided there include iNO, total body cooling and neonatal transport. Our level 2 unit is at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital where we care for neonates 32 weeks and over who may be briefly ventilated.
Schedule Details: 24 hour shifts to cover Birthing center and NICU at WMH and OMH
A registered nurse with advanced education and training in care of at-risk and high-risk neonates. Responsible for the nature and quality of nursing care of critically ill neonates. Under the direction of a physician the NNP manages neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation, and direct care. The NNP is involved with the education of nursing staff, residents and students. Including:
- Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH.
- Maintains Neonatal NCC certification
- Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds
- Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU.
- Provides procedural support to the ED for newborn/infant code blue.
Qualifications:
- Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work and staff.
- Possesses excellent communication skills.
- Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire.
- Possesses computer skills.
- BLS and NRP upon hire
- Master Degree required
