Schedule Details: Eligible for a $10,000 Sign on Bonus! This position will work 2nd shift hours- rotating between 2:00-10:30 pm, 2:30-11:00pm and 3:00-11:30pm shifts. This position includes an every third weekend rotation and 2 Holidays/year. Current start times may vary in the future based on business needs. This position will rotate between all laboratory departments (Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry/Urinalysis and Blood Bank). Training will occur during first shift hours for approximately 3 months prior to moving to second shift.  

 

About Us:

 

ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually.

 

Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology.  ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, nursing home, and assisted living facilities.  Our Pathologists and PhDs  work closely with lab employees to monitor quality, as well as identify, access, and implement new technology.   The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

What You Will Do:

Medical Technologists, or Medical Laboratory Scientists, perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory. Prepares samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation. Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluates correlates and interprets test results.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degere in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months, or
  • Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months
  • Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
