What You Will Do:

Utilizing clinical and analytical skills, the RN provides day-to day oversight for medical staff quality initiatives to ensure PHC Hospital Division develops pertinent metrics and measures, analyzes and provides physician and aggregate level data to physicians, medical staff leaders and administration. 


Develops processes, in collaboration with medical staff leadership, to validate practitioner competence and appointment of excellent physicians by measuring and monitoring  performance data:


• On-going Physician Performance Evaluation (OPPE)
• Focused Physician Performance Evaluation (FPPE)


At Direction of Credentials, Peer Review or Medical Executive Committee, initiate focused reviews of individual and aggregate clinical care delivery consistent with internal and external quality metrics. 
Provides a central resource and support all aspects of  medical staff peer review, including development of peer review indicators, drafting of quality entries, assessing for trends in physician performance, reporting to physicians, and chart review and peer review committees.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Current State of WI or eLC compact state RN license
  • At least 4 years of nursing experience
  • EHR review and abstraction experience
  • Database management experience
  • Statistical knowledge
  • Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience
  • Experience working with external quality metrics, such as core measures 
  • Relate confidently with a variety of individuals, including physicians
  • Plan and carry through on complex tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail
  • Work effectively in stressful situations
  • Competent in the use of computer with functions of Windows, Internet, abstracting data from clinical information systems and the use of Outlook and voice mail
  • Familiarity with MS Office products
  • Utilize software applications for data collection, analysis and profile development
