Lead Radiation Therapist - UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care

Location:  Waukesha
Job Type:  Days - 1st Shift
Weekly Hours:  40

Schedule Details: Our standard operating hours are 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, in which we treat patients, but they can extend based on hours and staffing needs. Travel to Oconomowoc and Mukwonago cancer centers as needed, will take weekend call rotations roughly 1x per month.

Our team uses advanced treatment technology and precision techniques to target cancer effectively—while supporting patients every step of the way. Here, you’re not just delivering treatment—you’re guiding patients through some of their most important moments with skill, compassion, and confidence.

 


What You’ll Do

  • Deliver accurate, high-dose radiation treatments under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist
  • Assist in tumor localization, simulation, and treatment planning
  • Serve as a key communicator between patients, providers, and the care team
  • Ensure precise setup using immobilization devices and positioning techniques
  • Monitor patient response, provide education, and support throughout treatment
  • Document treatments, simulations, and patient care thoroughly and accurately
  • Support daily workflow, scheduling, and overall department efficiency
  • Mentor and support team members; contribute to a collaborative team environment

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field required
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RTT) required
  • Current Wisconsin state licensure in Radiation Therapy (or eligibility)
  • Strong knowledge of radiation therapy equipment, treatment planning, and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to quality, precision, and continuous learning
