Outpatient medical oncology is a busy department with patients being seen in clinic by a provider, either a Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner. In addition we provide infusion services which may include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, or other IV therapies. Our clinic staff is made up of Nationally Certified Oncology RN’s, Oncology Nurse Navigators, LPN’s and secretarial staff to take care of patient needs.

Schedule Details: This position is a 0.9 FTE, working Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
What You Will Do:
The LPN plays an important role in supporting patient care within the Medical Oncology Cancer Center Clinic. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical support for providers, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare exam rooms and maintain necessary supplies, materials, and instruments

Room patients, obtain and record vital signs, and gather health history

Administer injections and assist with IV access as appropriate

Support providers during patient exams and procedures

Ensure timely and accurate documentation into the EMR
Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited LPN education program

Current state LPN license required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic preferred

Experience with IV insertion, injections, and Epic EMR highly desired
In this role, the LPN will have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license while providing compassionate, detail-oriented care to patients receiving cancer treatment.
