The PHC Information Technology Division supports our community - focused healthcare system’s primary care facilities, hospitals, home health care, hospice services, long term care and senior residence communities, health and fitness center.  We have attained national recognition for our pioneering approach to business intelligence and population health management.  We were the first system to use Epic’s Cogito data warehouse in a production environment which afforded our ACO a method for managing their population’s health.  We have successfully attested for Stage 1 of meaningful use for our hospitals and physicians, as well as have attained Stage6 designation on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM).  We continue to be a leader in providing effective technology in support of our organization’s healthcare strategies.

What You Will Do:

Develop reporting and analytic solutions to help guide business decisions. The candidate will be a dynamic problem solver, with demonstrated understanding of BI application development against both relational and dimensionally modeled data structures. Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills, and have the ability to effectively articulate business and technical concepts. Must have strong interpersonal skills and mentor team members in their BI skill sets.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field. Will consider combination of experience and education in lieu of a degree.
  • Specialized expertise in Microsoft BI.
  • At least 2-4 years of reporting and analytics experience developing BI applications such as scorecards, dashboards, interactive reports, cubes, and semantic layers.
  • Experience with SQL based relational and dimensionally modeled database structures
  • Experience gathering business requirements, with the ability to effectively articulate business and technical concepts.
  • Strong professional communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) necessary to express ideas and influence others appropriately.  Comfortable at giving and receiving feedback.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver a high capacity of output in a fast-paced environment.  Demonstrated success of execution and accountability.
  • Ability to take initiative and learn new tasks and tools quickly.
  • Ability to translate high-level direction into specific tasks.
  • Big picture and solution management oriented, with the creative ability to deliver on complex business requirements.
  • Customer service and results oriented.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc).
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Microsoft BI and Business Objects preferred.  Additional experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlikview a plus.
    • Oracle and Cache (Epic) database language experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of visualization and design techniques a plus.
    • Knowledge of data architecture, integration and ETL concepts a plus.
    • Familiar with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
