Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager, Service Lines, and Special Projects will provide service line financial leadership, vision, and direction, working in close partnership with ProHealth Care (PHC) executives, hospital campuses, physician leaders and groups, staff and within the PHC strategic plan.  Along with the Chief Financial Officer and VP Service Lines, this role will set the strategic financial direction and growth strategies necessary to ensure successful service line performance in the marketplace. 

 

Responsible for and owns the end-to-end PHC cost accounting process, tools, methodology, data integrity and timely reporting.  Responsible for producing meaningful analytics, presenting observations for financial opportunities and responding to requests of organizational leadership.  This role must have a deep understanding of healthcare financial reporting and accounting, provider compensation models, managed care concepts and cost accounting principles to ensure proper service line reporting for PHC in addition to interpretation of these trends to both financial and non-financial leaders throughout the organization.  Requires a full understanding of the programming logic relating to EPIC and Infor to ensure patient-level data is reported correctly. 

 

The role involves providing guidance and data-driven recommendations on cost accounting to operational and service line leaders, focusing on identifying improvement opportunities. Effective communication skills are essential to translate financial data related to the cost of care and ensure quality patient care at a reasonable cost. Building positive relationships with service line leaders is crucial for enhancing satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include owning the cost accounting process and system, developing cost structures, creating overhead allocation models, designing reports, and analyzing cost data. The position also entails coordinating system implementations, identifying areas for improvement, collaborating with other departments, coaching and mentoring the team, conducting training sessions, and maintaining professional growth through educational programs and memberships.

 

Requirements: 

Certifications or Licenses – CPA or CFA preferred

Education – MBA preferred, bachelors required

10-years of related experience; healthcare experience required
