Schedule Details: This position is for the Cardiovascular Stress testing and EKG department on an as needed basis. Pool staff will work days Monday-Friday typically 8-4:30 or 8:30-5 PM including some weekends from 7-3:30 PM and a potential holiday rotation of 1-2 holidays per year. Shift locations worked will be primarily for Waukesha Memorial Hospital or the Heart & Vascular Center at ProHealth Care, with rotation to Oconomowoc Memorial hospital, Mukwonago and Brookfield clinics when needed. 

 

What You Will Do:

The Exercise Specialist assists in the care of the cardiac patient in multiple modalities. Provides all patient care in the Cardiac-Pulmonary department and ECP, where appropriate. Provides lifestyle modification, education and exercise prescription for the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary patients and community education.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelors in Fitness/Sports Studies Required.
  • Bachelor of Science in one of the following areas: Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Human Performance & Recreation, Exercise Physiology
  • Minimum License: BLS (CPR), ACLS
  • Exercise Specialist degree, must have ACSM and ACLS within 1 year of hire.
  • Previous internship in a Cardiac Rehab program
