Schedule Details: This position is for the Cardiovascular Stress testing and EKG department on a part-time basis. Staff will work Monday-Friday; typically, 8-4:30pm or 8:30-5pm. Staff will also be included on weekend and holiday rotations. This consists of working 1 weekend a month and 1-2 holidays a year. Weekend and Holiday shifts are scheduled 7-3:30pm. Shift locations worked will be primarily for Waukesha Memorial Hospital or the Heart & Vascular Center at ProHealth Care, with rotation to Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Mukwonago and Brookfield clinics when needed. 

 

What You Will Do:

The Exercise Specialist assists in the care of the cardiac patient in multiple modalities. Provides all patient care in the Cardiovascular department, where appropriate. Performs graded exercise evaluations, place/educate patients on cardiac monitors, perform ekgs, monitor/identify EKG rhythms, and provide lifestyle modification and education, where appropriate.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelors in Fitness/Sports Studies Required.
  • Bachelor of Science in one of the following areas: Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Human Performance & Recreation, Exercise Physiology
  • Minimum License: BLS (CPR), ACLS
  • Exercise Specialist degree, must have ACSM and ACLS within 1 year of hire.
  • Previous internship in Cardiovascular Diagnostics/Cardiac Rehab Program
