What You Will Do:

 

The ProHealth Medical Group Director of Hospital Base Operations operates at both the Ambulatory Business Unit level of PHMG, and the System level of PHC for Womens Health Services. This leader reports directly to the Vice President of Operations for PHMG and is responsible for the strategic planning, and clinical operation of multiple ambulatory clinic locations led by Managers and Supervisors. The main responsibilities of this position are to 1) maintain and enhance physician practice growth and quality of care, 2) advance the patient service experience and 3) ensure clinic operational efficiency. Inherent in accomplishing the above are the following: 1) managing physician productivity to fully utilize clinic resources while increasing PHMG’s net patient revenue; and 2) managing the costs and efficiency of delivering patient services.  All functional and/or clinical areas report through this position.  Accountable to ensure that high-quality health care is delivered, which meets or exceeds industry standards, and improves the quality of life for the patients and communities PHMG serves.

Responsibilities Include:

Directs the day-to-day operations of the departments and clinics consistent with organizational strategies, policies, and functional responsibilities.
Directs management and staff in the provision of patient care workflows and administrative support services.
Works with direct reporting staff and other PHC support areas to ensure that clinical and administrative competencies are developed and deployed consistently through the organization.
Directs the development and maintenance of evaluative reporting mechanisms and performance communication to the VP of Operations and other key stakeholders.  Ensures effective functional process resolution utilizing established process improvement methods.
Manages departments and clinics to ensure they are efficiently staffed to meet quality performance, customer service standards, and budgetary goals.
Implements operating policies, systems and programs consistent with organizational philosophy, strategy and financial accountability.
Assists VP of Operations in service line deployment to ambulatory locations by developing business plans which support PHC’s long-range strategic plan.
Collaborates with PHC Facilities Department to oversee clinic site projects including upgrades, expansion and new construction projects.
Directs efforts integral in developing existing and new business to build and maintain desired patient panel levels for new and existing physicians/providers
Works with the VP of Operations to strengthen relationships with aligned independent physician practices.
Assists in the recruitment of employed physicians and mid-level providers.
Evaluates and responds to patient complaints for effective resolution.  Assesses risk, clinical care concerns and involves medical director, VP of Operations and Chief Operating Officer when warranted.
Is available on a 24/7 basis to handle emergencies that might develop within area of responsibility.

You Will Need:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree preferred (Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration)
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in managing clinical operations in a hospital or clinic environment. 
  • Experience in a Womens Health service line.
  • Experience in a clinic setting preferred, additional experience in womens health within an inpatient department is helpful.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills, project management, change agent, team building, strategic planning, and quality improvement skills required.
  • Must possess a strong ability to work with all organizational levels under tight deadlines, with a variety of assignments and priorities. *CA #LI-MO
