Schedule Details: 5:30am-2:00pm and 6:00am-2:30pm varying days monday-friday Every other weekend and rotating holidays  


Pay: From $18/hour (increases with experience) + $1.50 weekend differential + $3,000.00 Sign-on bonus !

What You Will Do:

It is the responsibility of the Culinary Specialist to perform a variety of duties to support the effective functioning of the department including, but not limited to: line cooking, food prep, following recipes, baking, high volume cooking, and working an action station.  The responsibility depends on the scheduled position.  There are also opportunities to assist with catered functions, including high volume and high-end caterings.  The Culinary Specialist executes all necessary tasks to a high degree of cleanliness, quality and sanitation in all areas specific to room service, food production, and catering.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintains high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
  • Responsible for preparation and cooking of patient food by following detail parameters of prescribed therapeutic diets and dietitian approved recipes.
  • Responsible for preparation and cooking of food products in retail outlet(s), according to provided recipes and Food Service Policies and Procedures.  
  • Responsible for maintaining food temperature logs for all hot and cold food items in holding in accordance with  HACCP, The Joint Commission, County, State and ServSafe guidelines.
  • Has the ability to perform and/or produce basic culinary fundamentals including, but not limited to: knowledge of breaking down a side of salmon, knowledge of breaking down cuts of beef, proper knife skills and plated meal presentations.


You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Passion and drive to succeed.
  • ServSafe Certified at time of hire or within 90 days of hire.
