Schedule Details: Monday - Friday 8-4:30pm. Hours may vary depending on meetings and work. 

 

What You Will Do:

Coordinates and supports all structures and processes that strengthen a system-wide professional nursing practice environment. 
• Collaborates with the Vice President of Operations, Director of Clinical/Professional Operations and other Hospital Based Operational Directors to promote the growth of the system-wide professional/clinical nursing practice environment while supporting practice changes that impact patient care quality, interdisciplinary organizational, and continuum of care improvement efforts.
• Provides data structures, processes and outcome support to the chairs, members, and advisors of the Nursing Peer Review Council, Nursing Professional Development Council, and Patient Care Policy and Procedure.
• Provides nurse leaders with access and interpretation support for the Nurse Sensitive Indicators and quality metrics.
• Coordinates the planning and processes with the Wisconsin Nurses Association for continuing education as the main Nurse Planner.

• Leads and facilitates Patient Care Policy and Procedure processes.

Able to support during regulatory surveys as a subject matter expert for patient care policies, chart review, and data analytics. 

• Supports clinical leaders in developing future nurse leaders to grow and maintain a highly professional nursing workforce capable of delivering competent-to-expert and compassionate care to meet patient needs and expectations as well as organizational objectives.
• Serves as the liaison and mentor for Shared Governance at the system, division and unit/department levels as appropriate.
• Creates and revises nursing policies, protocols, and procedures using evidence-based information to achieve outcomes for indicators that are nurse-sensitive, designs and maintains systems to support them. 
• Demonstrates a visible working style, acting in a manner that is consistent with and that shows commitment to the PHC values
