We Are Hiring: Clinical Nurse ( RN ) - PACU Waukesha Memorial - Pool As Needed 

 

Schedule Details: Hiring exceptional nurse to join the current team! PACU hours are from 0730-2130 Monday-Friday.  Flexible team that is hardworking and supportive. Call not required for pool position but would be helpful. Looking for someone who desires mid shift hours typically with start times between 9-1200 until 1730-2030.

 

Begin your story with ProHealth Care's Post Anesthesia Care team! The PACU provides immediate care for patients recovering from anesthesia. Nurses monitor patients as they recover from procedures requiring general anesthesia until they are admitted as an inpatient or return to Day Surgery for discharge home.  WMH has 11 PACU bays and OMH has 10 PACU bays staffed by Registered Nurses and supported by CNA/transporters.

What You Will Do:

The PPAC Registered Nurse calls a variety of patients to complete a phone interview which includes updating EPIC medical record, providing instructions preoperative and pre procedure, as well as coordinates the test results between patients' providers.  The goal of PPAC is to ensure the patient is prepared prior to a procedure and that the medical record is accurate and up to date.

The candidate for PPAC must demonstrate excellent computer skills.  EPIC knowledge is a plus.  Strong communication skills via phone to facilitate a professional and efficient interview, and completes the preparation of the patient in order to avoid an unplanned cancellation.  RN would be expected to complete ten 45 minute interviews in an 8 hour shift.

What You Will Need:

  • RN licensure in Wisconsin
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Excellent computer skills, EPIC knowledge, and strong telephonic communication skills preferred
  • Organization and efficiency is key.

The Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catherization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures. Although the majority of patients are discharged the day of their procedure, some are admitted to critical or acute care units. ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial is certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Offers the MAKOplasty® and Anterior Hip Arthroplasty procedure to patients.
