We Are Hiring: Certified Nursing Assistant - Day Surgery, WMH- 0.5 FTE 

 

Schedule: Day surgery CNA opportunity to work Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays. Early morning 5am-1pm, mid shift 9am-1730pm and pm shift 1100-1930pm hours. Position may require cross training to other perioperative departments as needed.

 

Pay: From $18/hour

 

In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastic Surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including Da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin.  The OR suite also includes a Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room.

 

The Day Surgery Unit is a 24 bed Outpatient/Ambulatory Surgery unit.  The staff provide pre and post-operative/procedural care to Surgery, Interventional Radiology and select populations of Radiology patients receiving anesthesia services.  An average of 30 patients per day begin in day surgery with the majority of patients being discharged the day of their procedure and some admitted to critical or inpatient units.

 

What You Will Do:

We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide support to the staff and patients on the unit.  Qualified candidates will work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients. Completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.  

 

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or expired on registry
  • Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision.
