We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in advancing the reach of our home health and hospice services. This position blends strategy, relationship-building, and compassionate communication to strengthen partnerships, identify new opportunities, and guide families during important care transitions.

 

As a Business Development Specialist, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic business initiatives that support the growth of ProHealth Home Health & Hospice.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with providers, community organizations, and care facilities to generate referrals and increase awareness of our services.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to align marketing and outreach strategies with organizational goals and ensure consistency across initiatives.
  • Strategically identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand our services and support revenue growth.
  • Guide families through the admissions process, including assessing eligibility for hospice care and partnering with the intake team to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Communicate with sensitivity and professionalism with healthcare providers, patients, and families during critical decision-making times.
  • Design and deliver community education and awareness activities, including presentations, events, and marketing materials that highlight the value of our services.
  • Represent ProHealth as the provider of choice by establishing and nurturing relationships with physicians, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care organizations, and other referral sources.

What You Will Need:

  • Expertise in relationship building, communication, marketing, and program development.
  • Previous healthcare sales experience preferred; medical background (RT, RN, PT, OT, SW, device, or pharma sales) strongly valued.
  • Knowledge of home health and hospice services, comfort-focused care, and Medicare regulations.
  • Proven success in account development and relationship management.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of healthcare professionals.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented with excellent time management.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; experience accepted in lieu of education. 
  • Valid WI driver's license, in good standing.
