Schedule Details: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday 

 

What You Will Do:

Our patient account department is a dynamic work environment where professionals are given the opportunity and tools to use initiative and problem solving skills to resolve medical bills as quickly as possible. The Patient Account Rep must possess a strong work ethic and must take the initiative to adapt their approach to resolve patient accounts as accurately as possible. This includes the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner. If you like to be challenged by learning new things, and want to apply those new ideas to better serve our patients, then this is the job for you.

 

Must have knowledge of professional or hospital insurance billing.  Uses analytical abilities to effectively identify and resolve simple and complex problems.

 

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two years, with four or more preferred, of billing experience for hospital and/or professional billing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the health care industry, insurance terminology, medical terminology and medical billing and follow-up for hospital and professional claims. 
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills. 
  • Ability to understand the system's adjudication process in determining how a claim has been paid. 
  • Ability to diplomatically work with a variety of customers and actively listen to successfully determine the customer's needs.
  • Ability to successfully analyze and independently resolve simple and complex issues.
  • Successful at identifying repetitive and complex issues that need to be escalated for consideration.
  • Understands payer and federal regulations.
  • Proficiency with computerized patient accounting systems.
