Part Time with Benefits

FTE: 0.50

Full time Medical Assistant needed to assist Urgent Care providers at our ProHealth Medical Group Pewaukee location. You will work directly with patients of all ages under the direction of a physician, APNP, PA, and/or RN. You would be responsible for tasks such as preparing exam rooms, stocking medical supplies, obtaining vitals, recording health histories in the electronic medical record, assisting with physician procedures using sterile technique, answering and making patient phone calls, preparing and administering medications and vaccines, collect blood and other specimens to prepare for testing, and providing provider directed follow-up care and instructions. Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One of the following educational/background is required:
    • Completion of 1 year Medical Assistant Program (qualified by the AAMA preferred).
    • Current state license required for those who completed the LPN education program.
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification preferred but not required for those who completed the Medical Assistant education program or Completion of an accredited LPN education program or Documented completion of the United States Military Medical Corpsman program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician office as a MA or LPN

Current BLS CPR Certification *CA #LI-MO
