Schedule Details: The primary location will be Pewaukee, with 8 hour shifts staggered from 7:30 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Wednesday and 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Thursday - Friday. Weekend rotation required - typically 1 every 16 weeks. Travel to Oconomowoc and Mukwonago may be required.

What You Will Do: 

As a LPN or Medical Assistant provides direct care to patients under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician (Provider) within Cancer Center. Provide care in partnership with the patient and their family, with the goal of supporting an optimal healing community.

 

You Will: 

Some of the job responsibilities include: preparing exam rooms, ensure sufficient stock of supplies, materials, and instruments; room patients and obtain vital signs; EKG; minor office procedure assisting; request and record health history; and ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or other patient records.

 

You Will Need:

  • BLS (CPR) certification required.
  • Completion of an accredited LPN education program or accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current State of WI LPN License (for those with LPN license).
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • At least 1 year prior experience in a physician office based LPN role preferred.
  • Previous oncology experience preferred.

About Us:

Outpatient medical oncology is a busy department with patients being seen in clinic by a provider, either a Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner. In addition we provide infusion services which may include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, or other IV therapies. Our clinic staff is made up of Nationally Certified Oncology RN’s, Oncology Nurse Navigators, LPN’s and secretarial staff to take care of patient needs.
