We Are Hiring: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Day Surgery OMH- 1.0 FTE- PMs 

 

The Day Surgery Unit is a 23 bed Outpatient/Ambulatory Surgery unit.  The staff provide pre and post operative/procedural care to Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Cath lab, GI and a select populations of Radiology patients receiving anesthesia services.  An average of 15 patients per day begin in day surgery with the majority of patients being discharged the day of their procedure and some admitted to critical or inpatient units.

 

Schedule Details: This 1.0 FTE commits to 40 hours per week. The Day Surgery department hours of operation are 0530-1930. This position is mostly the 11-1930 shift with occasional 0530 -1400 shifts. Exact start times are flexible and are determined by the daily surgery schedule. This is not a seasonal or temporary position. 

 

Pay: starting at $18.00/hr - increases with experience 

What You Will Do:

We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide support to the staff and patients on the unit.  Qualified candidates will work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients. Completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.  

 

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • WI Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or expired on registry
  • Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision. 
  • Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life.

The Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catherization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures. Although the majority of patients are discharged the day of their procedure, some are admitted to critical or acute care units. ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial is certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Offers the MAKOplasty® and Anterior Hip Arthroplasty procedure to patients.
