Schedule Details: This position supports the Switchboard at Mukwonago Hospital on first shift. Schedule is on a two week rotation, including a holiday rotation. Hours are 7a-3p Week One: Sunday and Tuesday Week Two: Monday, Friday, and Saturday
What You Will Do:
The Switchboard Representative operates the communications systems within the hospital; to include the telephone system console, emergency communications equipment, paging system and physician registry system. Handles all hospital incoming calls using assigned scripting and other tools and references to appropriately interact and follow through on questions and inquiries of the customers.
Additional duties include:
- Greets all incoming internal and external callers using the assigned phone etiquette scripting.
- Prioritizes incoming calls by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs.
- Handles confidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosing information to only those authorized.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge and competence in the departmental procedures to accurately perform all of the hospital emergency perparedness codes and other tasks required.
- Maintains current physician on-call schedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth Care Physicians.
- Understands and follows all Switchboard departmental processes implemented.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- High School Diploma
- At least two years of customer service experience preferred
