We Are Hiring:  Surgical Assistant

 

Schedule: Day shift hours primarily 0645-1515 with rotation into 0900-1730 shift.
If preferred, extended shifts (10 hours) will be considered.

Compensation: Starting pay $37.82/Hr goes up with experience + $5,000 Sign on bonus

What You Will Do:

A Surgical Assistant functions as a member of the surgical team in the role of the scrub person. Working under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures. You will possess advanced expertise in the theory and application of sterile technique and aseptic technique and combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of the invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.



What You Will Need:

High School Diploma – or equivalent required
Preferred education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Terminology or related health sciences
Proficient in Surgical Technologist I, II, and III
CST/CSFA status within 1 year of hire, recommend AST membership within 6 months of hire
Previous experience as a SA or Surg Tech
BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
