Schedule Details: Position will support Retail Pharmacy operations at our new Mukwonago Hospital. Mixture of 1st and 2nd shift hours and a weekend rotation.  


About Us:


The ProHealth Retail Pharmacy Department has three locations located throughout Waukesha County, including one at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, one in the Pewaukee Cancer Center, and one at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Our three pharmacies fill approximately 5,000 prescriptions monthly while focusing on a personalized, one-on-one interaction with each patient. The ProHealth Pharmacy staff collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure all patients’ prescription needs are taken care of before going home. We primarily fill prescriptions for employees, patients discharging from the hospital, hospice patients, oncology patients, or patients seen by the Medical Group. The pharmacies’ integration with the rest of the healthcare system helps to improve our patient experience and allows our staff to provide more informed, safe care.

What You Will Do:

Technicians at the Tier 1 level perform basic pharmaceutical duties and work under the direct supervision of PHC Registered Pharmacists. A tier 1 technician needs to be proficient in basic mathematical and pharmaceutical calculations as well as computer and telephone skills. They will provide accurate, independent work and have the ability to interact well with other healthcare personnel as part of the PHC team. All tier 1 technicians will demonstrate competence in ordering and control of stock, selection of drug product, nonsterile drug preparation, controlled substance handling and pharmacy automated systems. Retail Tier 1 technicians will show proficiency in applicable insurance adjudication, prescription entry, cash handling and inventory control.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • PTCB-recognized education/training program OR 500 hours of equivalent work experience to achieve required CPhT certification within two years of hire.
  • Completion of a six-month formal training program in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices - OR - six months of work experience in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices.
  • Preferred successful completion of a six-month formal training program in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices – OR – six months of work experience in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices.
