Internships
Paid internships are offered for active nursing students. Nurse Intern I is for students who have completed a minimum of one 16-hour clinical rotation. The goal is to gain exposure to the clinical environment and assist the nursing team with various patient care activities. Nurse Intern II is for students in the final nine months of nursing school. The goal is to begin providing hands-on nursing care while gaining clinical knowledge and technical skills under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Nurse Residency Program
The Nurse Residency Program is offered to nurses within their first six months of employment. The program focuses on critical concepts based on best practices and evidence-based care, with the goal of supporting a successful transition to independent practice. It includes cognitive content, practical applications, and strategies for working effectively with the care team.
Clinical Nurse I–IV Program
The Clinical Nurse I–IV program recognizes the expertise of nurses and provides a pathway to grow professionally. It includes four levels and is based on the Benner Model of Skill Acquisition. Nurses advance as they demonstrate growth in clinical knowledge, caring, collaboration, and leadership. Advancement is reviewed by a peer panel that evaluates submitted practice documentation.
