A Primary Care Role With Something Different

Begin your story with ProHealth Care at Waukesha Family Practice (WFP), our family medicine residency clinic in downtown Waukesha.

This isn't your typical primary care setting. You'll be part of a collaborative teaching environment where resident physicians train alongside experienced faculty physicians and clinical staff while caring for patients across every stage of life.

For a Medical Assistant, LPN or EMT who enjoys variety, teamwork and continuing to learn, this is a unique opportunity to experience the breadth of family medicine while still enjoying the stability and work-life balance of an outpatient clinic schedule.

Why You'll Love It

  • Outpatient clinic schedule designed with work-life balance in mind

  • Unique opportunity to work within a family medicine residency and teaching environment

  • Broad patient population, from infants and children through adults and geriatrics

  • Exposure to a wide variety of primary care, women's health and office-based procedures

  • Collaborative team of resident physicians, faculty physicians, nurses and clinical support staff

  • An environment where learning and patient care happen side by side

  • Opportunity to help support the next generation of family medicine physicians

What You'll Do

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs and health histories

  • Prepare patients for exams, treatments and procedures

  • Support preventive care and chronic disease management

  • Administer medications and immunizations within your scope of practice

  • Assist providers with procedures and coordinate follow-up care

  • Document accurately in Epic

  • Partner closely with resident physicians, faculty physicians and the broader clinical team

  • Help create an organized, welcoming experience for patients and families

Because WFP provides comprehensive family medicine, you'll have the opportunity to support patients across the lifespan and build experience across a broad range of primary care needs.

What You'll Need

  • Medical Assistant, LPN or EMT qualifications

  • Current BLS certification

  • Strong communication and patient service skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a busy, team-based environment

  • An interest in learning and supporting a diverse patient population

More Than a Traditional Clinic

Barstow clinic combines community-based patient care with the learning environment of a family medicine residency program. You'll work alongside physicians at different stages of their training while being supported by experienced faculty and clinical team members.

If you enjoy primary care but want a setting with more variety, collaboration and learning built into your day, this could be a great fit.
