We Are Hiring: Clinical Nurse II - OMH Outpatient Department- Pool/As Needed 

 

Schedule: Pool requirements are 6 shifts (8 hours) per 6-week scheduling period. Typical hours will be 8-1630 Monday-Friday. Weekend on call work available but not required for position.

Hospital-based outpatient department that does mix of infusion, injections, dressing or central line changes and physician follow ups. Every day is different. Previous experience with IV medications and IV starts a plus.

What You Will Do:

The clinical nurse is a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families.  Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approach and practices are guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations.  These nurses demonstrate mastery of most technical skills, and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/campuses as required by staffing matrices.  These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised. 

 

What You Will Need:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing is required.  Preferred education level is a bachelor’s degree
  •  Registered Nurse (RN),  Wisconsin Registered Nurse License 
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or ability to obtain during orientation 
  • Previous experience with IV medications and IV starts a plus.
