Medical Assistant, LPN or EMT – Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) / Scribe - Full Time 

Ear, Nose & Throat offers a unique opportunity to build your skills in a specialty that cares for patients with a wide variety of conditions affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, throat, hearing and more.

As part of ProHealth Medical Group’s ENT team, you’ll work closely alongside specialty providers throughout the patient visit. You’ll support hands-on patient care and office procedures while also serving as a medical scribe, giving you the opportunity to be directly involved in the visit and develop a deeper understanding of ENT conditions, treatment plans and provider decision-making.

What you’ll do

• Room and prepare patients for ENT visits and procedures (nasal spray prior to scope procedure)
• Obtain vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, and gather focused patient histories.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments and in-office procedures.
• Scribe for ENT providers and accurately document patient encounters in Epic.
• Work alongside the provider throughout visits to help support accurate, timely documentation and efficient clinic flow.
• Prepare after visit summary, educate patient on provider instructions, after visit care and treatment plans.
• Coordinate follow-up needs and communicate with patients and other members of the care team.
• Return patient phone calls, test resulting and surgery scheduling
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and efficient clinic flow as a team
• Set up for minor procedures, as needed
• Order supplies, medications, etc. as required
• Provide compassionate, organized support throughout the patient experience.

What you’ll need

• Education Qualifications as a Medical Assistant, LPN or EMT.
• Strong medical terminology, communication and documentation skills.
• Previous medical scribe or real-time clinical documentation experience strongly preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• ENT or other specialty clinic experience is a plus.
• Someone who enjoys learning, can keep pace with a busy specialty practice and is comfortable working closely with a provider.
