Clinical Support Associate – Cardiology

 

Schedule: Full Time | 1.0 FTE | Days

Monday – Friday | Approximately 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM


Primary location: ProHealth Heart & Vascular Center on the Waukesha Memorial Hospital campus.

In this role, you'll primarily support a non-invasive interventional cardiologist while working alongside experienced nurses, advanced practice providers, and cardiovascular specialists. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your cardiology knowledge while caring for patients through diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and longitudinal cardiovascular care.

What You'll Do:

  • Room patients and prepare them for outpatient cardiology appointments.

  • Obtain vital signs, medication reconciliation, health histories, and accurately document patient information in Epic.

  • Perform EKGs, Point of Care testing, specimen collection, and other delegated clinical treatments.

  • Administer medications and vaccinations in accordance with ProHealth Care policy.

  • Assist providers during examinations and delegated clinical procedures.

  • Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, prescription refill requests, and follow-up appointments.

  • Educate patients on provider instructions, after-visit care, and treatment plans.

  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and efficient clinic flow while collaborating with the cardiovascular care

 

What You'll Need:

  • Medical Assistant, EMT, or LPN training 

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Previous outpatient or cardiology experience is welcomed but not required.

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
