Clinical Support Associate ( Medical Assistant EMT LPN ) – Cardiology Clinic

 

Schedule: Full Time | 1.0 FTE | Days

Monday – Friday | Approximately 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Primary location: ProHealth Heart & Vascular Center on the Waukesha Memorial Hospital campus. Occasional support at our Mukwonago clinic as needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Room patients and prepare them for outpatient cardiology appointments.
  • Obtain vital signs, medication reconciliation, health histories, and accurately document patient information in Epic.
  • Perform EKGs, Point of Care testing, specimen collection, and other delegated clinical treatments.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations in accordance with ProHealth Care policy.
  • Support a team of Advanced Practice Providers caring for established cardiology patients, including hospital follow-up and ongoing cardiovascular care.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, prescription refill requests, and follow-up appointments.
  • Assist with shared clinical responsibilities, including patient messages, refill requests, and in-basket management.
  • Collaborate across the cardiology team to ensure efficient clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience.

 

What You'll Need:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, or equivalent clinical training program.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with the flexibility to support multiple providers.
  • Experience with Epic or an electronic medical record preferred.
