This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent part-time schedule with benefits. You’ll work short afternoon shifts Monday through Friday with no weekends or major holidays, while providing phlebotomy and specimen collection services to patients in a busy outpatient clinic.
Schedule & Location
- 0.5 FTE / 20 hours per week
- Part-time with benefits
- Monday: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Tuesday–Friday: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- No weekends
- No major holidays
- Waukesha South – Big Bend Road Clinic

What You’ll Do
You’ll provide phlebotomy and specimen collection services while helping patients feel informed and comfortable throughout the process.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections
- Positively identify patients and explain collection procedures
- Prepare and instruct patients for non-blood specimen collections
- Accurately label, receive and prepare specimens for processing
- Work with orders in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients on fasting, fluid intake and collection requirements
- Coordinate redraws and special specimen handling when needed
- Maintain clean, stocked and organized collection areas
- Support patients who arrive without an existing system order
- Collaborate with nursing and provider teams when patient needs arise
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program through a technical training school, or equivalent experience
- Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory environment may be considered in place of formal phlebotomy training
- Strong attention to detail and patient identification practices
- Comfortable working directly with patients and performing blood collections
- Strong communication, organization and customer-service skills
