Schedule Details: Monday - Friday 0700 - 1530 with availability to come in early or stay as needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Installation, preventative maintenance, repairs, documentation, and testing of electrical systems and equipment, working with up to 480 volt power.  Equipment to include but not limited to UPS, ATS, generators, electrical power distribution, substations, load centers, HVAC, lighting, security systems, auto doors and any other electrical equipment.
  • Installation, preventative maintenance, repairs, documentation, and testing of fire protection systems.  Equipment to include but not limited to fire alarm, sprinklers, fire/smoke separations, roll down doors, and any other fire protections equipment.
  • Installation, preventative maintenance, repairs, documentation, and testing of control systems.  Equipment to include but not limited to building automation, HVAC, lighting.
  • Supervise all contractors related to electrical, fire protection, and controls systems to maintain patient safety, infection control, code compliance and WMH master specifications.
  • Electricians to perform construction projects for cost savings while maintaining 100% completion on PM and timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintains inventory of assigned equipment, keeping a complete equipment history and updating one line diagrams and blueprints.  Utilizes equipment records to aid department managers to evaluate their equipment's reliability and need for replacement.
  • Assists departments in selecting new/replacement electrical, fire protection, and control equipment.  Develops budget cost for other department’s proposed electrical and/or equipment changes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of electrical, fire protection, and safety theories.
  • Must be knowledgeable and capable of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance activities.
  • Orders needed parts and supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory to respond to typical repairs.
  • Effective communication of repair status to both the Director of Engineering and affected customers.
  • Develop/Maintain human relations skills with hospital employees, patients, medical staff, and visitors in the performance of duties in order to establish good guest relations.  Introduces self and responds to inquiries in a clear and pleasant manner.
  • Works within hospital/departmental guidelines and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or designee.
